Description:
The Holy Martyrs Sabbatius, Trophimus, and Dorymedon lived during the reign of the Roman emperor Probus (276-282). When Sabbatius and Trophimus arrived to Antioch, the citizens of the city were holding celebrations for Apollo. A lot of wine was poured and people performed vile acts. The saints were shocked by the spectacle. They prayed for the salvation of the city and declared themselves Christians. They were arrested and presented to the governor. They confessed again their faith in Christ. Sabbatius suffered immediately martyrdom. Trophimus was sent to the governor of Phrygia Perennius Dionysius. Trophimus suffered terrible tortures and was sent to prison. The senator Dorymedon visited him in prison and confessed that he was a Christian. In presence of Perennius both Trophimus and Dorymedon confessed that . Pagans threw them to the wild beasts to be eaten by them, but the martyrs remained unharmed. At the end they were beheaded.
